Something so Beautiful. Something so Sad.
I got approved to adopt the fanlisting for the song Sadness and Sorrow by Toshio Masuda. Its a beautiful and sad melody. I was shocked to hear that it didn’t have any applications for it.
This is the most beautiful song I had heard in an anime in a long time. When I first heard it, it stuck in my head. After hearing it play over and over in my head for, I swear, days, I did some research to find the song. It was kind of frustrating having to watch the Naruto series over qand over just to hear the melody.
The song is sad, but to me, its also very peaceful. It doesn’t need lyrics or words or anything like that to make it beautiful. I usually don’t like purely instramental music, however, this song was always different. The sound of the flute (that’s what it sounds like anyways—I’m not familiar with instraments. lol) But the sound of the flute flowed so well, yet it stuck out. It drew you in.
This… it makes you think over so many things. For scenes in the anime itself (like with Haku, perfect example) to things in your own life. For me, I can just sit back and just listen to the melody. The entire song isa bit long, but it never seemed ongoing (like too long or neverending). The melody is just so beautiful, beyond words.
It brings up so many memories for me personally. Some sad and some bad, but its like… I don’t know. I can’t explain it. Its like, to me, its like this song is telling you that its okay to cry and be hurt by things. its okay to not be sstrong all of the time. its okay to just let go and let the tears fall. Its okay, you don’t have to be strong all the time. maybe I’m putting too much thought into the melody, but that’s the message its always left with me.
i’m really glad that I was chosen to adopt it. I hope to get it up and running right away.
